In order to begin a job as a miner, you will have to get a drill from the NPCs at Davis Quartz or the mining location North of Vinewood. Stones can be mined at either of these locations, then those stones can be brought to the Orchardvile Ave location to be cracked at the bench with a large rock on it, smelted at the large crucible with molten metal in it, or sold to the NPC nearby. Sometimes when cracking stones, you will receive uncut gems. These can be cut and made into jewelry at the jewel cutting bench if you have a hand drill and drill bits in your inventory. Drill bits will occasionally be consumed after use. Diamond rings can be sold at the pawn shop on Clinton Ave.
